Congress national spokesperson Rohan Gupta resigned from the party, citing "humiliation" and "character assassination" by a senior leader. Gupta, who withdrew from the Lok Sabha race in Ahmedabad East due to his father's ill health, expressed deep pain in his resignation letter to party chief Mallikarjun Kharge. He criticized the party's silence on issues related to Sanatan Dharma and accused the leader of damaging the party's image.
