Railways laid on an average 7.41 km tracks daily in 10 years, RTI response reveals

In response to an RTI application, the Indian Railways Ministry revealed that it laid an average of 7.41 km of tracks annually over the past ten years, covering new line construction, doubling, tripling, and gauge conversion. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw recently stated that the Railways is currently adding about 15 km of new tracks daily. In 2022-23, the Railways laid a record-breaking 3,901 km of tracks, with significant progress attributed to increased budgetary allocation and streamlined processes. Read The Rest at :
