Three independent MLAs in Himachal Pradesh, who had supported the BJP candidate in the recent Rajya Sabha elections, resigned from the Assembly and announced their intention to join the BJP. The MLAs cited Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's alleged targeting of them and their families as a reason for their resignation. They plan to contest elections on the BJP's ticket. The move comes after the MLAs, along with six Congress rebels, voted for the BJP candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections.
