Kazakhstan, rich in uranium, is considering building a nuclear power plant and will hold a referendum on October 6. The country has the necessary technology and resources, with 900,000 tons of explored uranium reserves. If built, the plant would meet all of Kazakhstan's nuclear fuel needs.
