IndiGo has paid a reduced penalty of Rs 70 lakh to the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for an incident where passengers were seen having food on the Mumbai airport tarmac in January. Initially fined Rs 1.2 crore, the penalty was reduced after an appeal. The airline completed the payment on September 10, 2024.
