The Uttarakhand government is considering tariff-based competitive bidding for its proposed 1,320-MW thermal power plant, the first of its kind in the state, to attract private developers. The project, initially planned as a joint venture between Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam (UJVN) Ltd and THDC India Ltd, aims to be commissioned quickly.
