Reliance Infrastructure, part of Anil Ambani's Reliance Group, is exploring plans to manufacture electric cars and batteries. The company has hired former BYD India head Sanjay Gopalakrishnan as a consultant and is conducting a feasibility study for an EV plant with an initial capacity of 250,000 vehicles annually.
