Fuel prices to go up in Punjab as VAT on petrol, diesel hiked

The Punjab Cabinet has approved an increase in value-added tax on petrol and diesel by 61 paise and 92 paise per litre, respectively. This decision, made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, is expected to boost revenue by Rs 395 crore from diesel and Rs 150 crore from petrol.
