The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has intensified efforts against telemarketing abuse. Starting September 1, 2024, telecom service providers must block messages with unapproved URLs, OTT links, or callback numbers. From November 1, 2024, message traceability will be required, with messages lacking a clear sender chain being rejected.
