ONGC Videsh Ltd has been granted a 16-year extension to produce oil and gas in Vietnam’s Nam Con Son Basin, and a three-year extension for exploring Block 128 in the South China Sea. This move aligns with India's strategic interests despite no commercially recoverable finds in the latter area over 18 years.
