India has approved Nepal's export of an extra 251 MW of electricity, bringing the total to 1,000 MW. This decision came after discussions between Nepalese Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba and India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Previously, Nepal exported 690 MW from 16 hydropower projects, now increased to 941 MW from 28 projects.
