Train services resume at Darjeeling accident site

Train services resumed on the railway line in Phansidewa, Darjeeling, where the Kanchenjunga Express accident occurred, killing 8 and injuring around 25. Restoration work started immediately after the accident, with workers striving to restore the line despite heavy rainfall. The accident involved a goods train colliding with the Kanchenjunga Express from behind. Several trains under the Northeast Frontier Railways were cancelled or diverted. The Kanchenjunga Express, with unaffected coaches, arrived at Sealdah station in Kolkata after the completion of restoration work.
