Mumbai local trains: 63-hour mega block ends as Central Railway completes platform widening work at Thane station

Passengers commuting from Thane station in Mumbai received significant relief as the Central Railway announced the completion of widening work for platforms 5 and 6 on Sunday. The Central Railway provided insights into the special block undertaken for infrastructure enhancement at Thane station. The extension of platforms 5/6 involved widening by 2-3 meters across a length of 587 meters. This initiative was part of a 63-hour mega block at Thane railway station and a 36-hour special block at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus initiated by the Central Railway.
