Amnesty scheme in works for PF defaulters

By Economic Times - 8 hours ago
The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is preparing an amnesty scheme for companies evading or defaulting on employee contributions. The scheme, potentially launching alongside employment-linked incentives by year-end 2024, aims to boost enrollments and formalize the workforce. It may waive employee contributions and minimize employer payments for the default period between 2017 and 2024, pending approval.
