The Press Council of India (PCI) has advised newspapers to cross-check credentials before publishing employment advertisements. The PCI stated that print media should adhere to the Norms of Journalistic Conduct and verify the bona fides of the company or person placing the ad. This is to protect vulnerable unemployed youth from fraudsters.
