Corning, the U.S. electronics maker and a key parts supplier for Apple, has entered a joint venture named Bharat Innovative Glass Technologies with Indian telecommunications company Optiemus Infracom. The joint venture has agreed to invest INR 1,000 crore (about $134 million) to build a facility in Tamil Nadu, India, for manufacturing front cover glass for mobile phones.
