Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, Haryana will open for commercial operations in April. Talks were held with Alliance Air to start flights to Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Alliance Air has obtained necessary licences from DGCA. The airport is advantageously located just 230 km west of New Delhi. The airport will be implemented in three phases, with phase 1 already completed. Phase 2 includes a 10,000 feet runway, a terminal building, and facilities for cargo and MRO. The state government has also developed five airstrips in Haryana.
