The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has criticized Vodafone Idea (Vi) for failing to secure funding from the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) for the deployment of Open-RAN and related technologies. Vi had previously assured the DoT that it would secure this funding four months ago. The government is the biggest shareholder in the cash-strapped carrier.
