Months after cyberattack, British library crawls back online

The British Library has started restoring its online catalog, which was disrupted by a cyberattack. Roly Keating, the library's CEO, stated that the majority of physical items will be discoverable and usable again, but access will be slower and more manual. The library expects a full recovery to take several more months. Similar attacks on other cultural institutions have caused outages and disruptions. Despite the catalog being searchable online, researchers will need to visit the library in person for offline specialist catalogs.
