The Mahayuti alliance clinched a resounding victory in the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections, securing 231 out of 288 seats. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde hailed the win as "record-breaking" and thanked voters and Prime Minister Modi for their support. A legislative party meeting will be held to reaffirm Shinde’s leadership. Deputy CMs Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar emphasised the coalition's legitimacy.
