The Maharashtra government approved proposals to establish an economic welfare corporation for the Jain community and financial development corporations for OBC communities. They also sanctioned grants for Buddhist institutions, increased penalties for damaging historical sites, renamed 104 ITIs, and enhanced prize money for sportspersons.
