The Congress party has accused public sector banks of accepting a significant loss when settling claims from financially stressed companies that were acquired by the Adani Group. According to data from the All India Bank Employees Association, banks with claims totaling around Rs 62,000 crore settled for only Rs 16,000 crore after the Adani Group took over these firms, resulting in a "haircut" of up to 74%.
