West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar announced a series of statewide protests starting Friday, citing the alleged breakdown of law and order in the state and demanding Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's resignation. The protests include a sit-in near RG Kar Medical College & Hospital, where Majumdar will participate, and candle marches by women near the CM's residence.
