The Supreme Court directed the Enforcement Directorate to respond to a plea by Hemant Soren, former Jharkhand chief minister, challenging his arrest in a money laundering case. Soren sought interim bail, citing delay in the Jharkhand High Court's verdict on his plea. The SC posted his appeal for next week, allowing the high court to pronounce judgment till then.
