Cities in India are engaging in a heat competition, boasting about their ability to endure high temperatures while also complaining about the heat. New Delhi has yet to reach 40°C, disqualifying it from the competition, while a western disturbance has spared Maharashtra, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The eastern front, however, is experiencing a heatwave, providing residents of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal with plenty to discuss.
