The Congress in Kerala has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against Doordarshan's decision to air the controversial film 'The Kerala Story', accusing it of attempting to divide society on religious lines to benefit the ruling BJP. The ruling CPI(M) and opposition Congress have strongly protested the broadcast scheduled for April 5. The Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) plans a protest march, while the Leader of the Opposition condemns the film as malicious propaganda by the Sangh Parivar to divide the country.
