Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the government for the situation in Manipur, where unabated violence has devastated lives for nine months. Kharge accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of not visiting the state and claimed that the BJP's 'double engine' government has harmed the people of Manipur. Over 200 people have died and 60,000 have been displaced since May 4, 2023. Kharge highlighted the poor conditions in relief camps and the lack of support from the state government.
