Sanjay Singh, a jailed AAP leader, was unable to take an oath in the Rajya Sabha due to his suspension for unruly conduct during the Monsoon session. The Aam Aadmi Party argued that Singh should have been allowed to take the oath, but official sources cited the August 11th direction of the Upper House.
