The alliance government in Jharkhand, led by Chief Minister Champai Soren, won the trust vote in the state assembly. Out of the 81-member assembly, 47 votes were in favor of the government, while 29 were against it. Independent MLA Saryu Rai abstained from voting. The trust vote took place after the recent arrest of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren in a money laundering case.
