The BJP-led NDA is expected to gain six seats in the Rajya Sabha after the upcoming elections to fill up 56 vacancies. The JD(U) and the NCP faction led by Ajit Pawar have joined the ruling coalition. The Election Commission has announced elections to the 56 seats, including 10 from Uttar Pradesh, six each from Maharashtra and Bihar, and five each from Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.
