"Congress wanted to steal...": JD(U)'s KC Tyagi after Nitish returns to saffron embrace

After Nitish Kumar resigned as Bihar chief minister, confirming rumours of his exit from the ruling Mahagathbandhan and the INDIA bloc, JD(U) KC Tyagi accused the Congress of wanting to steal the leadership of the Opposition alliance. Nitish's resignation is seen as a blow to the INDIA bloc ahead of the general elections due to rising differences and divergent positions over seat-sharing. In a meeting, Mamata Banerjee proposed Mallikarjun Kharge's name as PM, while the Congress delayed seat-sharing talks. The BJP welcomed Nitish's exit and will form the government with JDU.
