Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah hits out at BJP after it seeks to make issue over removal of Hanuman Dwajin Mandya

The BJP seeks to sustain momentum over the Ram Mandir by making an issue out of the removal of a Hanuman Dwaj in the Vokkaliga-dominated Mandya district. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah accuses the BJP of playing politics and hits out at them. Tension arises in the village of Keregodu after a saffron flag with a depiction of Hanuman is taken down. The government claims that only national and state flags, not religious ones, are allowed to be hoisted. The BJP is trying to re-build voter base for its new ally JDS in the upcoming elections.
