The Congress claims that its 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' has been denied permission to pass through Guwahati. The yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, is scheduled to reach Guwahati on January 23. The Congress leader applied for permission for a roadshow and padayatra through Guwahati but it was refused. The Congress has been asked to take the procession through the Khanapara-Jayanagar-Basistha-Gorchuk-Lohkra route, which is the bypass for the main city.
