Yamaha Music Philippines opens biggest boutique in PH

Yamaha Music Philippines marked a major milestone with the opening of its largest boutique in the country at Uptown Mall, Bonifacio Global City (BGC).

Musicians from all generations and VIPs including Yamaha Corporation Senior General Manager, Asia Pacific Sales Division Kennei Sakai, Yamaha Music Philippines President Koichiro Onoe, and Department of Education (DepEd) Undersecretary Peter Corvera, on behalf of DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara, attended the grand event.

This newest Yamaha store in BGC showcases a wide selection of innovative, precision-crafted musical instruments and audio equipment, reinforcing Yamaha's reputation as a global leader in the industry since its founding in 1887.

"We have never seen another music-related store here in BGC, so we saw an opportunity to open the biggest one here suitable for all customers. There are many music brands all over, but Yamaha is the only brand with an entire lineup of instruments — it's a wide range," general manager Ryosuke Yoshimura said in an interview as he shared the company's decision to expand its presence in BGC.

Yamaha's renowned pianos, crafted with premium materials and advanced technology for rich sound and expressive capabilities. Its extensive selection of guitars, both acoustic and electric, are made with high-quality wood and advanced electronics, providing a full, vibrant sound that resonates with musicians of all skill levels.

Yamaha's violins cater to everyone from beginners to professionals, with options like student models and silent and electric violins that deliver unique features for seasoned musicians.

Drummers can find durable, resonant drums, designed with Yamaha Enhanced Sustain System (YESS) for superior sound. Brass and woodwind instruments, such as trumpets, saxophones, and flutes, are crafted with precision, meeting high standards of tone, playability, and longevity.

Beyond musical instruments, the store offers a variety of audio and digital products, including synthesizers, music production tools, professional and home audio equipment, mixers, and speakers.

Meanwhile, as part of its commitment to support music education, the brand announced a donation of 50 keyboards to the Department of Education, to be distributed to public schools nationwide. This initiative highlights the brand's dedication to empowering young Filipinos by providing access to quality musical instruments.

"We donated 50 keyboards to the Department of Education. These are basic models, but all of them are especially good for children to enjoy music. Keyboards are easy to learn. You will see which note is lower and higher. For children, they can learn melody, harmony, and these are the main components of music. So these are the most adequate instruments for students to learn," said Onoe.

Expressing appreciation on behalf of the department, Undersecretary Corvera said, "In behalf of the Department of Education and Secretary Sonny Angara, we would like to express our gratitude for such amazing generosity. This will definitely go a long way in the holistic development of our students, our learners, and even our teachers. Education is not just only academic; it involves enhancement of culture. Again, we look forward to our continuing partnership between DepEd and Yamaha."

Yamaha Music Philippines aims to create a space for musicians and enthusiasts alike, offering them a creative haven to explore, discover, and maximize their musical potential at any stage of their journey.
