BENGUET — Benguet Rep. Eric Go Yap has pledged to donate two dialysis machines and one dental chair to Benguet General Hospital (BeGH) in a bid to advance the health care service in the province.
Yap made the pledge even as he commended the hospital's management for the quality service the hospital renders to patients as it marks its 53rd anniversary this month.
He also commended the dedication of the hospital's medical professionals and staff members who have been instrumental in delivering essential health care services to the people of Benguet.
"I cannot think of a good way to commemorate the 53rd anniversary of BeGH but to donate two additional dialysis machines for the hospital," Yap said.
He also emphasized the importance of government support in expanding hospital capabilities, noting that his office will continue to bring more health care funding to rural hospitals in the province.
To recall, the lawmaker funded the purchase of 10 dialysis machines in 2021.
Yap's continuous allocation of resources from the national government has also enabled the hospital staff to receive adequate salaries and incentives with the hopes of constructing a new building for the hospital to cater to more patients in the province.
"Like what I have been saying, we will not stop here, we will not stop because our province deserves the best. So more will come," the lawmaker said.
