MANILA, Philippines — Adamson University took down University of the East, 45-37, to end its five-game skid in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre on Wednesday.
Clinching their first win in the second round, the Falcons improved to 4-7 to rise from seventh to fifth place in the standings, pumping some life to their Final Four bid.
AJ Fransman logged 14 points and nine rebounds for Adamson which held the Red Warriors to just five points in the final canto against its 12 of the game, which produced the lowest scoring game in five years or since Season 82.
That matchup featured the NU Bulldogs blasting the FEU Tamaraws, 61-39, on September 25, 2019.
UE fell to 6-4 but stayed in third place in the standings.
