Adamson tops Ateneo, snaps three-game skid

AURELIO Fransman delivered in the clutch, powering Adamson University to a thrilling 72-68 win over Ateneo de Manila University in the UAAP Season 87 Junior High School Basketball Tournament.

This victory snapped Adamson's three-game losing streak and marked their second win in nine games.

Fransman scored 15 points, including back-to-back three-pointers that broke a 59-all tie, and added three steals and two assists. His heroics sparked a late surge, with Craig Fongtong, Chrys Jomez, and Edison Jordan contributing to the win.

"We emphasized in practice that we can win, so why not change the result? We can do it, so why stop?" said Baby Falcons head coach Alex Barrera. "We made adjustments on defense, and you saw the difference in the second round."

Edison Jordan had a double-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, and one assist, while Craig Fongtong added nine points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks.

The Baby Falcons will enjoy a two-week break before facing FEU-D Baby Tamaraws on November 10 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, aiming for their first winning streak this season.
