BSP, Tacloban bankers to hold Piso Caravan

TACLOBAN CITY — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Tacloban Branch in partnership with Tacloban Bankers Association Inc. will conduct the Piso Caravan at Robinsons Mall in Barangay Marasbaras, Tacloban City on October 28 to 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

BSP Area Director Victorio III Tingcang said in a press statement that the Piso Caravan aims to promote recirculation of coins by flushing out idle coins from storage and strengthen the effective implementation of BSP Clean Note and Coin Policy, and Coin Recirculation Program.

Tingcang said the activity is held in line with the conduct of the 14th Leyte Consumer Information Market and Exhibit.

Tingcang is urging the public to bring their fit coins and unfit notes or coins for exchange.
