Hernandez gears up for PVL All-Filipino Conference

MANILA, Philippines — After a year-long recovery from a knee injury, Imee Hernandez is eager to return to the court with Chery Tiggo in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024 All-Filipino Conference.

Despite rumors of key players leaving the team, Hernandez remains focused on the six-month tournament.

"We're all excited to show what we have in Chery Tiggo. Our goal remains the same – the championship," she told The Manila Times.

Hernandez, a former UST Golden Tigress, emphasized the importance of patience during her recovery.

"Having an injury requires a lot of patience. It's not just three weeks or a month; you need to be patient," she shared in a PVL documentary.

With the team's preparations underway, Hernandez awaits green light to play from her management.

Chery Tiggo finished fourth in the previous All-Filipino Conference, led by notable players Eya and EJ Laure, Aby Maraño, Mylene Paat, Ara Galang, and Zac Carandang.

Hernandez's determination and focus are palpable as she looks ahead to the tournament.

"We all know it's a long conference, but we're invested in our well-being and our bodies. We're ready to give it our all.""
