After bringing its appliances line in the Philippines, KitchenAid is expanding its collection of kitchen tools for home cooks and professional chefs with the launch of the brand's cookware line in the country.
KitchenAid's cookware collections are free from PFAS, PFOA, lead and cadmium, ensuring that no toxic fumes are released during cooking.
Jeff Peh, The Cookware Company-Sales Manager of KitchenAid Cookware said in a statement, "This isn't just about delivering high-quality cookware — it's about eliminating harmful man-made chemicals that have likely accumulated in our bodies, ensuring that no toxic fumes are released while cooking. It's a step towards making every kitchen not just a place of creativity but also a haven of safety and health."
The initial release includes six different cookware collections, each with its own unique features and benefits.
The Classic Forged Aluminum collection includes easy-to-use pieces with a timeless design featuring an extra thick forged base for even heat distribution, and a healthy ceramic non-stick coating for easy food release and a fast clean-up.
The Classic Stainless Steel is a beautiful range featuring a heavy-gauge stainless steel induction base with an aluminum core for fast and even heating. The healthy ceramic non-stick on frypans and woks guarantees easy food release and a fast clean-up.
The Forged Hardened Aluminum collection is made from heavy-gauge hardened aluminum for extra durability and scratch resistance. The healthy ceramic non-stick coating guarantees easy food release and a fast clean-up.
The Multiply Stainless Steel is an uncoated range that feature a heavy-gauge stainless steel body with an aluminum core for fast and even heating. Durable curved rims guarantee drip-free pouring and sealed edges prevent corrosion for a lifetime of use.
The Cast Iron is a robust and durable, yet elegant collection made of high-quality cast iron. It retains heat extremely well, making it perfect for searing, browning, braising and long simmering.
Finally, the Steel Core Enamel collection has a heavy gauge steel core for excellent heat retention — perfect for long simmering soups or sauces. The multi-layer enamel is non-reactive and acid-resistant for optimal taste preservation.
To highlight the versatility of the new cookware, award-winning chef JP Anglo, renowned for his innovative approach to Filipino and Asian cuisine, led a live cooking demonstration at his Sarsá Kitchen + Bar in Rada, Makati. He created restaurant-quality dishes using select items from the collection.
First, Anglo used the Wok from the Classic Forged Aluminum collection to create velvety salted egg prawns paired with fragrant egg fried rice. Following this, he turned to the Casserole from the Multiply Stainless Steel collection, whipping up melt-in-your-mouth braised beef short ribs kaldereta — a homage to homegrown flavors. Finally, he chose the Classic Forged Aluminum Round Grill Pan and Forged Hardened Aluminum Frypan to whip up a decadent chorizo truffle cheese and runny eggs on toast.
Throughout the cooking process, Anglo showcased the versatility and durability of KitchenAid Cookware, demonstrating its fast, even heating, and ease of use that elevate every dish to perfection.
