PHILIPPINE Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Picpa), the national professional organization of CPAs, conducted its annual national Accountancy Week Celebration (AWC) last July 14 to 20, 2024. The AWC week-long activities featured this fiscal year's theme, "Values Above All," showcasing the organization's strong foothold on professionalism and integrity. In earlier press releases, Picpa showcased the messages of the many well-wishers of the organization for the success of the event, including the keynote message of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Marcos' inspirational note, Picpa said, validated the CPAs' crucial role in nation-building through their contribution to the progress of the country as vanguards of transparency, accountability, and financial integrity. The AWC is one of the most relevant national events for finance professionals, conducted collaboratively by Picpa and the four sectoral organizations of accountancy: Association of Certified Public Accountants in Public Practice (Acpapp), Association of Certified Public Accountants in Commerce and Industry (Acpaci), Government Association of Certified Public Accountants (Gacpa), and National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Education (Nacpae).
