MANILA, Philippines — San Beda University vented its ire on Jose Rizal University (JRU) and regained its winning ways with a 77-60 victory in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City on Saturday. After suffering an upset from Emilio Aguinaldo College, San Beda bounced back in a dominant fashion to take a 3-1 win-loss card. Team captain Yukien Andrada made a double-double performance of 16 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists. Bryan Sajonia who was limited to only nine points against the Generals, scored 14 points against the Heavy Bombers. James Payosing and Jomel Puno both chimed in 13 markers. Red Lions spoiled Shawn Argente's career high of 27 points, he is also the sole double-digit scorer of JRU. San Beda led as much by 26 points in the first half, 46-20, on which the Heavy Bombers struggled to trim the remaining quarters.
