Baguio City, Foundever sign MoA for Rizal Park rehabilitation

BAGUIO City sealed its partnership with Foundever for the rehabilitation and improvement of Rizal Park in the summer capital through a memorandum of agreement (MoA) aimed at improving the nature therapy experience for residents and visitors.

Representatives of the customer experience company and city officials led by Mayor Benjamin Magalong signed the MoA, part of the local government's Adopt-A-Park program that seeks to safeguard, conserve and develop parks and gardens in the city.

Both parties agree to work together in rehabilitating the park to contribute to the city's overall cleanliness and beautification and make the popular tourism destination an even better place for wellness activities.

Foundever Baguio Site Lead Vida Haboc leads the partnership initiative, saying that Foundever associates, in keeping with the MoA, will engage in park cleaning and tree-planting activities, as well as building fences around the park.

The company will also ensure that the park fountain is rehabilitated and becomes functional for park-goers to enjoy.

"As a stakeholder in the community's well-being, we recognize our role to help improve and develop the city for the benefit of all the residents and visitors. Baguio is no longer just a so-called summer capital. It is a year-round destination for those seeking a respite from stress and those who want to experience wellness. And our parks and gardens play a major part in helping people achieve wellness through nature therapy," she said.

Also present were Foundever Baguio CSR Lead Lucelle Campoy, EverBetter Ambassador Bryan Corpuz and engineer Marivic Empizo of the City Environment and Parks Management Office.
