BACOOR CITY, Cavite — University of Perpetual Help rookie Jemma Menor tallied 19 points, including 18 in attacks, to lead the Bacoor Lady Strikers-Metro Land Builders to a 25-11, 25-22, 25-18 victory over the San Juan Lady Knights on Wednesday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Volleyball Association (MPVA) at the Home of the Strikers Gym in Barangay San Nicolas 2 here.
It was a huge comeback win for the Lady Strikers who bowed to Rizal Xentro Mall in five sets on Tuesday.
Shaila Omipon contributed 10 points while Charisse Enrico and Cyrille Alemeniana added 7 points each for Bacoor which raised its win-loss record to 2-1.
The Lady Knights were led by Freighanne Garcia with 10 points and Nicole Ong with 7 points.
Also on Wednesday, Quezon outplayed Valenzuela in straight sets.
The league shifts its venue to Biñan City, Laguna, with a triple-header at the Alonte Sports Arena on Monday.
Quezon and Rizal will clash in the opening game at 10:30 a.m. followed by the game between San Juan and Valenzuela at 2 p.m. and capped by the Biñan-Caloocan tussle at 4 p.m.
