MANILA, Philippines — Prolific reinforcement Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is set to make his second PBA tour of duty for TNT for the PBA 49th Season Governors' Cup, which kicks off this Sunday, August 18 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The left-handed Holli-Jefferson is best remembered for leading the Tropang Giga to the 2022-23 Governors' Cup championship, where he went on to win the Best Import award.
TNT team governor and Season 49 chairman Ricky Vargas confirmed the return of the former Brooklyn Nets forward, who is coming in to replace Darius Days.
"Rondae is coming. He knows our system and works with our system correctly," Vargas told media men during last Wednesday's PBA press conference held at the Edsa Shangrila Hotel in Mandaluyong.
The 29-year-old Hollis-Jefferson is coming off a stint with the Guaynabo in the Puerto Rico professional league where he averaged 17.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
