Leonardo 'Remy' Monteverde laid to rest

Leonardo 'Remy' Monteverde, husband of film producer and Regal Films owner, Mother Lily Monteverde was laid to rest on Saturday, August 3.

Leonardo, a beloved figure known for his unwavering support of the local film industry, passed away on July 29, 2024, at the age of 86 due to pneumonia.

Monteverde, a former basketball player for San Beda in High School and for Mapua College was born on December 25, 1937."Remy" is remembered as a loving husband to Mother Lily, a pillar of strength and guidance to his children, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. His legacy lives on through his children, including Roselle, who continues the family tradition at Regal Films, Dondon, who has made his mark in the industry with Reality, and Coach Goldwin, who leads the UP Fighting Maroons, Winston and Sherida, who manages the Imperial Palace Suites.

The Monteverde family extends their gratitude for the outpouring of support and prayers during this difficult time. They invite friends, family, and colleagues to join them in celebrating the life of a man whose quiet strength and dedication have left an indelible mark on their lives and the broader community.
