BoC-Port of Subic employees get free eye checkup

SUBIC BAY FREEPORT — In a bid to enhance its employees' welfare, the Bureau of Customs (BoC) Port of Subic provided free eye checkups and consultations within the agency and its stakeholders.

BoC-Port of Subic District Collector Ricardo Morales II said the program called "A Community Optical Service" was held in collaboration with Metro One Dental and Optical Center.

Morales said the program aims to improve the well-being of BoC personnel and stakeholders through better health services.

"Ensuring optimal health is critical to maintaining high performance and efficiency in the workplace," he said.

Metro One Dental and Optical Center was represented by Dr. Elyssa Jean Sarmiento, Dr. Erica Joie Sarmiento, Dr. Jonas Jerome Gopez, and Carl Angelor Palad.

The center is known for its dedication to high-quality and reliable eye care and has partnered with the BoC-Port of Subic to deliver these essential services.

Morales highlighted the importance of such health initiatives in fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.

"The well-being of our employees and stakeholders is paramount. By providing access to essential health services like this optical program, we are not only taking care of our people's health but also enhancing their ability to perform their duties effectively," he said.

Morales added that the bureau is "grateful to Metro One Dental and Optical Center for their support and dedication to our community's health needs."
