MANILA, Philippines – The western parts of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon or "habagat," the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Saturday.
The Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
Pagasa warned of flash floods or landslides in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila, Calabarzon, the rest of Mimaropa, Zambales and Bataan will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms may result in flash floods or landslides in vulnerable areas, Pagasa said.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated or localized rain showers or thunderstorms.
The whole archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
The temperature range for the nation is from 26.5 to 33.2 degrees Celsius, while relative humidity is from 61 to 89 percent. WITH PNA
