DSWD warns 4Ps recipients of fake payout schedule

MANILA, Philippines —The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Wednesday warned all Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries of a fake Facebook post about the schedule of aid payout.

Social Welfare Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said that the department received information concerning a viral post announcing the dates of distribution, as well as the names of supposed 4Ps beneficiaries.

"The Department wishes to clarify that this information did not come from any of its official channels and may cause confusion among 4Ps beneficiaries," Dumlao said.

"All official announcements, including payout schedules for the 4Ps program, are also disseminated through the official page of 4Ps: https://www.facebook.com/DSWDPantawidPamilya," she added.

She said that the Landbank of the Philippines also has the authority to announce payout schedules on its official Facebook page after the cash grants have been credited to the beneficiaries' bank accounts.
