CIMB Bank Philippines Inc. on Thursday said that it was aiming for total loan disbursements of over P75 billion this year.
"We remain steadfast in our mission to redefine banking in the digital age and helping more Filipinos not only to save but to have access to affordable credit," CIMB Bank PH CEO Vijay Manoharan told reporters on Thursday.
Manoharan said the disbursements were expected to surpass 2023 levels by 23 percent, adding that this was possible as they were aiming to onboard another half a million users to their digital banking app.
As of May 2024, CIMB had already accumulated 8 million customers and total active customer accounts exceeding 11 million. This was higher than the 7 million customers recorded last year.
"Having surpassed the eight million customer milestone, we also reaffirm our dedication to delivering the best digital banking experiences and value, all while promoting financial inclusion for all Filipinos," Manoharan said.
"We will continue our mission in disrupting the market with strategic partnerships, innovative solutions, and possible entry to underserved segments like the MSMEs (medium, small and micro enterprises) and the overseas Filipino workers," he continued.
"We will continue driving positive impact in the communities we serve, and we are here to help the everyday person get ahead in his life."
